Recall Notice
Logan Outdoor Products LLC d/b/a Camp Chef recalls certain portable stoves due to a fire hazard.
Out of an abundance of caution and for the safety of our customers Logan Outdoor Products LLC d/b/a Camp Chef, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is voluntarily recalling portable stove Models MSGG, MSHP and MS40A. An internal part of the gas regulator component may have a burr that may wear or tear a hole in the seal causing gas to leak out of the top of the regulator, posing a fire hazard.
This recall involves Camp Chef portable stoves with model numbers MS40A (UPC 0-33246-21520-4), MSHP (UPC 0-33246-21643-0), or MSGG (UPC 0-33246-21642-3) and with component gas regulators date coded “1923” through “2030” inclusive. The model number is located on the manufacturers label on the bottom of the stove. The gas regulator date code is engraved on the regulator. The MS40A stove is aluminum with the Mountaineer name printed on the front. The MSHP is black and red with EVEREST 2X printed on the front. The MSGG is black and red with the Rainer 2X logo printed on the front. All stoves have the Camp Chef logo embossed on the lid. The specific models and UPC codes are as follows:
- MS40A (UPC 0-33246-21520-4)
- MSHP (UPC 0-33246-21643-0)
- MSGG (UPC 0-33246-21642-3)
We value our customers safety and are committed to full transparency, which is the reason we elected to voluntarily report this to the CPSC and recall the portable stoves.

The recall only affects the following models:

Why have you recalled the regulators for portable stove Models MS40A, MSHP and MSGG (the “Products”)?
We were recently made aware that an internal part of the gas regulator component of the Products may have a burr that may wear or tear a hole in the seal causing gas to leak out of the top of the regulator. As a result, and out of an abundance of caution Camp Chef is voluntarily recalling the Product.

What do I need to do to do?
MSGG/MSHP Regulator Disposal Instructions: Please destroy and discard of the original regulator by removing the gas pipe from regulator and disposing of both pieces. See instructions included with your replacement item

MS40A Regulator Disposal Instructions: Please destroy and discard of the original regulator by cutting the rubber gas hose from regulator and disposing of both pieces. See instructions included with your replacement item

If you provide us with your email address, we will email you out instructions on how to remove the original regulator. See instructions included with your replacement item

Do I get a refund?
No. We will send you a replacement regulator.

When will I receive the replacement regulator?
Replacement regulators should be available to start shipping the first part of January 2021.

Do I have to pay for the replacement regulator?
Absolutely not. We will send it to you at no charge.

I haven’t had any issues with my portable stove. What if I don’t want to remove the original regulator and install the replacement regulator?
To ensure your safety, we strongly urge you to immediately discontinue use of the portable stove with its original regulator. It is quick and easy to install new regulator and we will send you at no charge.
