No need to skimp on flavor while at camp. This recipe can be made on the go or at home with less than ten ingredients. Even though we're using minimal ingredients, the Banana Foster topping will take regular pancakes to the next level. The Banana Foster will add a slight crunch from the walnuts, sweetness from the brown sugar, and boldness from the whiskey.
Ingredients
1 cup pancake mix of your choice (prepared according to package instructions)
1/4 cup butter
1/8 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 Tablespoon maple syrup
1/2-1 teaspoon rum extract or whiskey (your choice)
1 medium banana, cut into slices
1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
