Italia Outdoor Pizza Oven

The Italia has truly been an experience for me. I cooked 5 pizzas with brick oven like quality. Each pizza only taking about 5 minutes from start to finish. Literally the best pizza I have ever had!!

I use this oven all the time camping. It makes professional grade pizza and anything else that will fit into it. It takes a little getting used to but once you do you can produce home oven quality dishes anywhere. Camping I take my camp chef stove and pizza oven and people are amazed what you can dish up. I would be lost without it. Pizza, biscuits or even chicken pot pie come out grrat.

Just look at the photos - amazing, better than thousands of dollar ovens. Use pizza screens and you will love this bad boy oven.

The oven has been a huge success!! Pizza has come out great. We have made our own dough and sauce it makes all the difference!!

We initially loved it and used it for an entire summer. Then the regulator malfunctioned and they sent me a new one. After working for some months, the second one malfunctioned. They kept telling me that it was because I was turning the gas on too quickly. Total red herring. They have awful regulators that malfunction (made in China). We got a third one. Guess what? It malfunctioned after several months. It goes into low flow mode for no known reason and cannot be reset. It would be a great product if it were for this critical error. I would not recommend anyone purchase this unless you like repeatedly calling customer service lines and repeatedly replacing parts. No thanks.

From day one this pizza oven has been a complete piece of garbage. I have struggled having it ignite and stay lit. I called, left messages, emailed, and tried calling support just to leave a number and someone will call me back. I finally did receive a return call. I was told to buy a new regulator which I promptly did so I could hopefully burn a pizza or 2 but again, would not light and stay lit. So, I have now decided to just sit home and have Dominos bring me hot pizza when I choose. Your customer service along with your pizza oven needs some major overhaul. I will give you the best advertising money can buy, and it will all be free.

Purchased this oven a couple weeks ago and have already used it twice. We have it on a rolling cart and move it out onto the driveway and away from the house to use. Heats up quickly as described, we turn it on high and then medium to cook evenly. We have used long tongs to turn the pizza, and we sprinkle corn meal on the peel to shuffle the pizza into the oven--great. The only difficult part is removing the stone for cleaning. My hands are small, but my husband really has a difficult time. It's easy to wipe off once you get it out--then putting it back takes practice also. Overall--Great product.

To be clear I bought this second hand but it had never been used box was still sealed. The first time I used this oven it worked flawlessly. Had good flame and good heat. That’s where it all ended. Ever since the first time it’s taken me around 45 minutes each time to get the over to even light and hold a flame. I reached out to the company but because I didn’t have a receipt they told me to pound sand. I told them I would happily pay what ever the cost for a new regulator but they said no because I didn’t have a receipt. Save your time and money and buy a different pizza oven of better quality.

Terrific pizza oven. Comes to temp quickly, holds temp well, can accommodate two 10” pizzas at the same time. After seeing mine, my neighbor decided to get one.

It took a bit to figure out how to control the oven as a function of outdoor temperature, but after several pizzas, this oven has become a winner for everything from thin-crust to deeper dish pizzas and running the oven from 500F to 650F+.

In reviewing all of the various ovens of this type I chose the camp chef pizza oven for a few reason. It is small enough to be very portable for camping, its size definitely accommodates to personal or one large pizza at a time, and delivers consistent heat distribution. I realized I could have spent $3000 on a pizza oven but why? My family only makes pizza every couple of months and it cooks like a professional oven. More importantly is its portability.

I have had mine for about 2 years and it has been a great pizza oven. Gets pretty hot and easy to use. Worth every penny.

Seems maybe their QA is lacking., on my 2nd one. 1st one didn't work right out of the box. Waited months for them to be in stock again now the 2nd only works sometimes. Thought maybe it was the old propane tank, replaced it. Then thought maybe they included a cheap gas line. Replaced it. Still no luck. I could keep replacing parts but then I would have spent enough to buy a nicer oven and still not have one.

Love my camp chef products as they always have been reliable and consistent. Which is true with the pizza oven except it just doesn’t get as hot as I want. I can only get it to top out at 500-600 degrees. Which is just a little hotter than my kitchen oven. At this price point, I would expect to get into the 800-900-1000. Other than that it works well and is easy to use.

We purchased this to use in the parking lot skiing. We tried to use it for the first time yesterday and it wouldn’t get past 275. Pizzas didn’t cook and we had to throw in the towel after about an hour. Not cool. I tried a different tank but same result. What a pain. First time use too. I bet is you don’t get a crap one then it would be a cool unit.

I bought this oven about a month ago wanted to use it before I reviewed it. I used it at our 4th July cook out and cooked 20 pizzas in it .it did very well and everyone loved it . Cooked every pizza perfectly. Very pleased with this oven . I only wish I would have bought one sooner. The quality for the price you can’t beat it .

During the pandemic we were looking for a creative way to have meals with family members & close friends. This pizza over was just what we needed. Have enjoyed make you own pizza night & breakfast pizza. Looking forward to making dessert pizza soon.

I got my pizza oven in November with no door. Now December same pizza oven with DOORS. Yes this sucks. Thank you

Great oven, I use it like a resturant saliomer, makes the best wet burritos and pizza and so far everything I make

I live in NY for 6 months then in Florida for the other 6 months I absolutely love mine so I had to buy two one for New York and one for Florida .My grandchildren are going to love it when I get back home

Put two regulators on it provided by Camp Chef. Low to no flame and cant get to even 400 deg. Now waiting for a control valve and if this doesnt fix it I want a replacement. I tried it with a one pound bottle, multiple 20 pound cylinders and even replaced the extension hose. Only used iwice since purchase in very late October.

I was able to cook pizza 4 times before everything stopped working...low flame to no flame, low heat to no heat. I worked with customer service and have torn the oven apart 3 times replacing what has to be the only moving parts....still dead. Th company will not make it good. Buy any oven but a Camp Chef....really disappointing.

Save your money and buy a better oven than this one. I’ve owned a few of these ovens now and have had nothing but issues with them. First one wouldn’t stay lit, second one wouldn’t light, and now the third one won’t get to temp and is very difficult to get lit. I’m very disappointed with this product and have officially given up on the camp chef brand. And what really sucks is now I’m stuck with this pile of metal because I missed my return date through Wal-Mart by 3-days. I’ll stick to my roccbox moving forward.

I've had this for roughly a year and it will not get above 600 and that's after running it for an hour. The average temp is only hitting 500-550 after 30 minutes as read on the built in thermometer and confirmed with an infrared therm. That's at 78 degrees ambient temp with no wind and using the door to the oven.. I contacted customer service and got a whole response pushing the problem back to me and having me run through a leak detection test and other things. It's not a leak. That's all I ever got from CS. I'm pretty sure the regulator is overly limiting the flow as the flames while blue are small even on high. I can't even find the regulator on their website to order myself a new one. That makes me worry about support in the long run. I just want to cook pizza. It shouldn't be this hard. I was having better luck with a grill top oven that this was supposed to replace. Overall when friends and family ohh and ahh when they see this oven I have not been recommending this to others.
